How will I know when to replace my filter?
Filter longevity is dependent on the contamination on your water. Under typical conditions, the filter lasts for up to 150 gallons.
One of the things you may discover is that the filter starts running slower over time. That might seem like a bad thing, like the filter is not working. Actually, it’s the opposite. When a filter starts running more slowly, it’s because it has captured contaminants and is now fuller. It’s like a sponge that has been saturated with water. Once the filter has been working hard for a while, it may take longer for it to run through a cycle. So you can have peace of mind knowing that your filter is working hard for you, not goofing off on the job.
Can I flush out my filter and use it longer?
Your filter is designed to be used with up to 150 gallons of water. You may read reviews that say you can “flush it out” and keep using it. Although flushing the filter out may cause it to appear to be filtering longer, because water runs through it faster, it will not be removing all the toxins from the water.
Can this pitcher be used with well water?
This water pitcher is to be used with municipal potable water only. Do not use well water, ocean water or water from rivers or streams.
Does this filter remove the healthy minerals that are in water?
No, our filters are designed to take out only harmful contaminants, micro-organisms and heavy metals; and leave in the good-for-you trace minerals such as salt, potassium, phosphorous, calcium and magnesium.
Should I add minerals to my filtered water?
With our food supply carrying less minerals that it has in the past, it’s important to increase mineral intake when possible. Various options exist for increasing minerals in water. Click here to learn more.
Why is it important to filter water?
Filtration lessens the toxic overload most people are experiencing by removing chemicals such as chlorine, chloramines and fluoride added to water by water treatment companies, as well as chemicals added to the environment by industrial and agricultural activities.
Does this filter increase the energy of water?
No, it only gets rid of the physical contaminants on water. If you want to complement your water treatment, you can structure your water.

The Best Water Filter Ever will not unstructure your water. You can use a structuring device before or after the Best Water Pitcher Ever.
What about all the other contaminants that aren’t on the list? How do I know if it filters those as well?
It’s not practical to re-test the filter for every new contaminant created by industry. The Best Water Pitcher Ever has been laboratory tested and shown to be effective in the major areas of water contamination including aesthetics, chemicals, dissolved solids and even radiation. The filter is highly likely to remove new contaminants, just like the ones that have already been specifically tested.
Does the pitcher remove bacteria, viruses and pathogens from water?
Giardia, cryptosporidium, e coli and other bacteria, viruses and pathogens are part of a category of contamination called biologics, which is not removed by our pitcher. If you are concerned about biological contamination that is typically only necessary with water main breaks, consider a filter that removes biologics like the Multipure Aqualuxe.
How safe is the plastic the pitcher is made out of?
Our products are non- BPA leaching plastic. BPA is found in polycarbonate plastics and epoxy resins. Polycarbonate plastics are often used in containers that store food and beverages, such as water bottles. They may also be used in other consumer goods. Epoxy resins are used to coat the inside of metal products, such as food cans, bottle tops and water supply lines
