It depends on what’s in your water. Highly saturated water will require a filter change sooner which is a sign of contaminant removal. Normal is at about 150 gallons.

It depends on the density of toxins in your water and is based on volume, not time. Typical is up to 150 gallons.

The pitcher filters water, it does not structure it.

  3. Question

    Laura

    Is the pitcher plastic?!

    • Patrick

      Patrick

Correct. Plastic is detrimental to water. And, this pitcher is offered as a solution to purifying water by removing contaminants which it does very effectively. Unfortunately, sometimes there are tradeoffs and in this case we accept the minor detrimental effect of plastic for the major benefit of removing toxins more effectively than any other water pitcher. The water pitcher industry as a whole is using plastic, maybe some day that will change.

The pitcher is made of non- BPA leaching plastic. BPA is found in polycarbonate plastics and epoxy resins. Polycarbonate plastics are often used in containers that store food and beverages, such as water bottles. They may also be used in other consumer goods. Epoxy resins are used to coat the inside of metal products, such as food cans, bottle tops and water supply lines
