Filter Longevity
Filter Longevity… a Personal Choice
The Best Water Filter Ever meets or exceeds the standards for NSF 42 and NSF 53. It has also been tested by independent labs. Even so, there is no single test to predict how long the filter will last in your home with your specific source water.
The manufacturer recommends changing the filter every 6 months and provides a 1 year warranty from the date of purchase that covers manufacturer defects in materials and workmanship. If you are looking for the highest standard in toxin removal to match the results shown by the independent laboratories, then changing your filter every 6 months is the way to go.
If you would rather change your filter based on something other than time, then taste is a good indicator. When you install your filter you are likely to notice how much you enjoy the taste. When this diminishes, it is a good indicator that it is time to replace your filter.
If you’d like a more scientific way to measure for the longevity of your filter, you may want to purchase home testing equipment. An easy and inexpensive option is chlorine reagent drops.

In addition to tasting so clean and good, it’s comforting to look at the bottom of the used filter and see all the crud! Even though my structured water neutralized the toxins, I don’t want the physical properties in my body! 🙂

I purchased my Pitcher a year ago with two replacement filters and only recently, I had to change the filter. The FIRST filter! I’m very pleased with the amount of money I’m saving on replacements, not to mention water bottles! I just love this pitcher and it makes me feel like I’m drinking better water knowing that it filters radiation too, ESPECIALLY living in California!
