Not that long ago, it was rare to see the term “structured water” or hear about the health benefits of structured water. But what is structured water and what are the health benefits of drinking structured water? 

Forward-thinking medical doctors, scientists and thought leaders are actively engaging in conversations about the healthiest water to drink, structured water, also known as H3O2, energized water for its optimal intra-cellular hydration properties. 

What is Structured Water?

Simply put, structured water is water that is in its most pure and natural form, like a snowflake. Snowflakes happen when water vapor travels through the air, condense on a particle and transform into symmetrical, crystalline structures. The only time we can see those symmetrical shapes with our naked eye is when we see snowflakes. However, as experiments by the late, Dr. Masuro Emoto showed, under a microscope, frozen water appears in those same perfect snowflake shapes. As you might imagine, water that is polluted or contaminated appears in distorted patterns when it’s magnified. And this is what’s at the heart of the discussion about structured water. The health benefits of structured water are not as much about the volume of the water that you drink, but the energetic state of the water. And a constantly growing number of research studies have documented the health benefits of structured water. Proper hydration is becoming a common topic as a first intervention against chronic headaches, depression, weight gain, fatigue, insomnia, auto-immune disorders, gut pain, blood pressure and heart disease.      

You might have heard structured water referred to as H3O2, EZ Water, vortexed water, hexagonal water, magnetized water or gemstone water. All these terms essentially mean the same thing, the water has been put through some kind of process to restore it to it’s purer form. 

And you may wonder why you haven’t heard much about structured water, if it’s the solution for a wide variety of health problems. Chronic, low-grade dehydration is a consistently overlooked public health epidemic in the United States. Your doctor or health care practitioner should look at your blood hydration level before they make any judgements about your blood markers. Why? If you’re not properly hydrated when you get a blood test, all of your numbers will be skewed.

The Syndrome of Treating the Symptom, Not the Cause

Doctors that are pressed for time and have pressure to come up with treatment plans fast, frequently overlook the most obvious problem and the simplest solution, better hydration. Consequently they can get distracted by blood markers that may appear alarming and start the cycle of treating the symptom, and not the cause of the problem. You might be doing everything right, eating organic food, exercising, meditating, but if your cells are not properly hydrated you probably have a low energy level or a chronic health problem that feels perplexing. That’s why so many Doctors say Structured Water is best for Hydration.

It might seem like doctors would embrace a simple, hydration solution, like learning about   structured water and teaching their patients the benefit of it. First and foremost, you have to understand that traditionally trained doctors are the products of cookie-cutter institutionalized learning. Education shouldn’t be a finite process, but unless a doctor is committed to continued learning and innovative thinking, he’s probably going to do the same things he learned in medical school many years ago.

The Paradox of Scientific Innovation

One of the great paradoxes of science, is that even though science is about innovation, it can take many, many years for scientific and medical professionals to embrace new information. Thomas Kuhn was a philosopher that studied how scientific knowledge changes over time. He showed how new scientific knowledge is adopted in incremental paradigm shifts rather than in a linear and continuous way. What that means to you, is that your doctor could be presented with information about the benefits of structured water, but he’s unlikely to say “Great, let’s try that!” He’s going to have to hear about structured water at conferences, read about structured water in medical journals and hear about structured water from colleagues and patients. Then, over time, he might be open to using structured water as a simple health intervention, but it may be years before that happens.      

Don’t be discouraged by that information because using and benefitting from structured water doesn’t require your doctor’s permission or any oppressive insurance approvals.
